Mobile WiMAX is regarded as one of key technology options of third-generation
(3G) and fourth-generation (4G) mobile network, where voice, video and data
services all reside in one high-speed, spread spectrum radio access network. To
satisfy the new requirements of monitoring ASN (Access Service Network) and
CSN (Connectivity Service Network) of mobile WiMAX, a new generation of
protocol analyzers is required. The Signaling Analyzer family of products is
focused on solving the needs of higher intelligence and performance. The
solution offers a breakthrough in troubleshooting methodology with a high-
performance, client server, multiuser architecture and seamless drill down from
statistics and call traces to messages and decodes. This solution allows full and
uniform testing of network and individual call performance across all key
interfaces of mobile WiMAX network.
Agilent Technologies’ Signaling Analyzer WiMAX solution provides a distributed
testing and analysis solution that maximizes the time and resources devoted to
troubleshoot, optimize, performance benchmark, plan, install and maintain
WiMAX networks. The solution’s architecture, design and structure are focused
on drastically reducing capex and opex in organizations with responsibility for
testing and maintaining mobile networks. The modular design and flexibility of
Signaling Analyzer solutions allows multiple users and teams to identify
problems and resolve faults quickly and effectively. All users in a fully distributed,
multi-user architecture operate simultaneously, in real time, at high performance
levels. This solution allows key personnel to see WiMAX network problems as
they occur and turns what can be an overwhelming amount of data into
actionable information and problem definitions.
